  1. Cecile,
All three of your pieces illustrate that leaving some spaces open is a very effective artistic choice. Sometimes I feel that I need something filling every white space. I really admire your restraint, and the results of it are lovely and clean looking.

  2. All three have unique characteristics but I really like the last one. Great use of minimalist effect.

  3. Kim and Donald have said it well. Very nice use of space. I think I like the last one best too.

  4. I'm with the majority; I like the last one best, too.

  5. Here it is 'less is more' and it's true.

  6. I do wish I was brave enough to leave some empty space - I haven't quite reached that level of proficiency yet and love how your tangles play around. Simple but really effective. Axxx

  8. Great use of white space -- it can be so tempting to 'fill' the space, but you've effectively demonstrated that white space can really make the design pop! I too favor the third design, the scallops along the inside edge of the outer space remind me of leaves and lend an organic feel to the entire design!

  9. All three are so interesting - a lot of depth. I agree with everyone about the white space - sometimes I forget that every space doesn't have to be filled.

  10. These are all so different and equally as stunning. Love the open-ness and fluidity of your tangle combinations. Nice.
